Yoga

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is my passion

I have been practising various forms of yoga since 1997, most notably Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Sivananda und Bikram yoga. In 2005 I discovered Ashtanga yoga which has become my primary practice. I love the practice. It has a profound effect on my life.

My aim is to teach traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as a moving meditation and as a foundational practice for spiritual growth and transformation.

In my classes I focus on breath, alignment and maintaining a steady flow to build strength, stamina and flexibility in the body and well-being in the mind.

I give precise, supportive adjustments to encourage more depth in the asanas. I teach students with sensitivity to their bodies and support for their individual growth and development. And I encourage to look for the enjoyment of what you do.

Teaching Teenagers

Growing up is challenging at times. Young people have always had a special place in my heart.

Being a mum and passionate yogi I have inspired both my son and many of his friends piquing their curiosity for the ancient yoga tradition. I have created and adapted yoga programs for teenagers to encourage and support them in finding their own way.

When teaching young people I focus on healthy alignment and balanced action in a light-hearted, playful manner. I enjoy to encourage my students to recognise their potentials and to truly tune in to the flow inside and outside while enjoying what the practice offers.

Meditation

Meditation is a vital part of what I teach. It is integrated throughout my classes as well as included at the end of every class.

Studies

A qualified teacher (RYT 500), I teach regular classes and private tuition in Ashtanga yoga and Yoga for teens. My students comprise of a wide range of ability and age, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.

Since many years Paul Lowe has been and continues to encourage me to keep looking one level deeper. I studied yoga with Ryan Spielman, David Swenson and Richard Freeman, and Taoist meditation with Bruce Frantzis. And the journey continues...
